What is a blueprint for a project?
Blueprint serves as a template of reference for a project.
This help in creating and sustaining a successful project environment.
What factors govern it?
Developing this requires attention to number of independent factors like process, technology, people governance (development, production, testing team and managers altogether) resulting in capable and consistent project performance that is measurable, predictable and sustainable.
What different type of Development techniques available?
There are wide variety of development techniques and methodologies available based on the type of projects companies are dealing with, project manager's responsible to implement it managing the triple constraint (time, scope and cost) and the quality of the project.
The most common are:
1. Software development lifecycle (SDLC)
2. Waterfall and Agile methodologies
3. Rational unified process (RUP)
The following image shows the different phases and how process are similar to each other among the above mentioned development techniques and methodologies.
As shown,
-the SDLC has 10 phases
-Waterfall and Agile has 6 phases
-RUP has 4 phases.
Want to know more about SDLC, Waterfall, Agile/scrum and RUP, their phases along with sprint/iterations?
Thanks
